Corn Bread

1 cup cornmeal (yellow)
1 cup flour
¼ cup sugar
¾ tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
4 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup milk or half and half
In a small bowl mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, slat and baking powder. In a small bowl lightly beat the eggs and stir in the melted butter and milk. Pour the egg, butter and milk into the dry mixture and mix for about a minute. Bake at 425 in a buttered 8 inch baking pan for 25 minutes. I have also baked them in molds and muffin pans
