Soups Galore

The weather is cooling and winter is fast approaching. So in the Jarman house we are expanding our soup tastes and trying some new creations. Living in the Pacific Northwest brings a whole new definition of cold. 8 years of southern winters have spoiled my bones. Here the temperatures are going to get in the low 30's and 20's and even though we are only in the high 40's at this time, the boys are beginning to ask for a nice steaming hot meal. So with every hot bowl of soup there is always a fresh bread of some kind that accompanies the meal, in our home.

So I will be posting plenty of soup options. I will also add some of our favorite breads. I'm very excited to share these recipes. I will try post a picture with each recipe to give you an idea of the finished product. My new camera is taking better close ups. So I'm hoping to rid the blurs. However, I'm still learning. Please post a comment and let me know how you are doing. I sure miss everyone and would love to hear how I can continue to help you out in your kitchen. I would love your suggestions too. So happy cooking and enjoy!

I wanted to thank you for the Chicken Tortellini recipe. I made it for some friends that were coming over, and it was a big hit, even with my husband who was sneering at all the veggies. I had a few extra add-ins (1 can tomato sauce, garlic, a little sugar) and completely forgot to put in the spinach, but I've now made it two completely different ways(once with gr.beef) and both were delicious! Thanks for the inspiration!
