Almond Pie Bars

2 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter

In a medium bowl toss in flour and sugar, cut in butter and mix until it resembles crumbs.  Grease a 13x9x2 baking pan and press this mixture into the bottom.  Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.

2 cups sugar
1 cup almonds, chopped
2 Tbsp flour
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp almond extract

In a bowl toss in sugar, almonds, and flour, mix well.  Then toss in remaining ingredients.  Pour this into crust and batke at 350 for 30 minutes or until center is almost set.  Cool on a wire rack and then cut into bars.  Store in the refrigerator.

Make about 6 dozen
