6 large Granny Smith apples peeled and diced
3 cups or 1 (12oz) package fresh cranberries
1 small lemon sliced and seeded
1 cup sugar
½ cup water
¾ cup sweetened dried cranberries
In a sauce pan over med-high heat, toss in the apples, fresh cranberries, lemon, sugar, water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes stirring often. You will hear the cranberries pop and mixture will become thick. Remove from heat and stir in dried cranberries. Serve it hot or cover and chill. This can be made several days ahead
