Here are the basics I have in my pantry all the time. If this seems overwhelming start small and slowly add these to your pantry. Once you've built these basic your meal preparation will go much faster because you have most everything. You will still need to purchase fresh fish or meats, fresh fruits and those ingredients that you don't use as much. This will allow you to get in and out of the store quickly. I hope it will allow you to stock up during sales. Keep track of what you use so you can replenish it as you go. I have a little white board in my Pantry so I can write what I need at the moment. The nice thing about this is if your tired, sick or have a crazy week you can fill confident that your cupboard will yield something that you can cook up right on the spot.
