My family enjoys hard boiled eggs. I decided to post this technique just for fun. I'm sure most everyone knows how to cook an egg. This method has been successful for me.
In a large pot filled with 4quarts water, 1 dozen eggs. Bring to a boil then remove from heat. Cover pot for 10 minutes (exactly). While waiting, grab a large bowl and add some water with ice. When the ten minutes has concluded transfer the eggs to the cold water for 5 minutes.
Peel, eat and enjoy.
Note- If you are making deviled eggs be sure to use the freshest eggs available. If you notice after cooking that the yolks have drifted from the center or the whites seem thin, this is a sign that the eggs are older.

Good information. Sometimes the eggs have a mind of their own! They don't care to shed their shells! The fresher the egg, the better. But isn't 10 just a little short of cooking time? Too long seems to make them rubbery.
Try it and let me know.
