
4 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp sour cream
1 1/2 cup smoked cheese, grated (any kind you like)
Salt and fresh ground black pepper
In a large pot cook potatoes in salted water over med heat, until tender. (about 25 minutes)
Drain and return to the large pot. Next, mash and add the butter, milk, sour cream and stir with a fork. Toss in the cheese and mix adding salt and pepper if you desire. Serve warm.
Note- You can mash the potatoes until smooth or if you like a chunkier taste you mash less. It's up to you. serves 8
