2 1/2 cups milk
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup pumpkin puree, (not canned pumpkin pie)
1/4 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/4 tsp ginger, ground
1/4 tsp nutmeg, ground
1/4 tsp allspice, ground
1/2 tsp vanilla
In a small pan, toss in the milk, cocoa, sugar and cook until sugar is dissolved at medium heat. Toss in the pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, all spice and vanilla. Heat this until it is boiling, stirring along the way. Do not let it boil over. Remove and serve.
It's great with any type of milk- including soy, almond and rice. Don't forget to top it off with a large dollop of whipped cream.
